Crescent Visibility Report for Ramadan 1442 (29th of Shaban, Monday 12th April 2021)

Azimuth(Degree)@18:00 | ~277° 27.862` | ~273°45.178` |
Altitude (Degree) @18:00 | ~5° 19.809` | ~9° 31.941` |
Age of Moon: Waxing Crescent : ~ 0.48 days old. = 11.52 hrs old
Set Time difference : approx 20 minutes
The New Moon crescent first light will be in conjunction with the Sun on April 12th @ 06:40UTC+4, and based on the astronomical calculations, the Crescent (Hilal) would be possible (with difficulty) through CCD yet extremely challenging to observe with naked eyes or with only optical aid on this day, because of the Set Time difference and age of the Crescent which is very young.
Based on the Astronomical data report, the Sunsets at 6:26 Pm UTC+4 @ (277°WNW), and 6:46 pm @ (276° WNW) for the Moon which makes out around 20minuets for the sighting before it sets below the true Horizon.
From this report, it is possible to sight the crescent “Hilal” with the help of optical Aid (Telescope) and CCD camera together, and the chances increases as we move towards the southwest of the globe and or sighting at a higher altitude. However, it all depends on weather conditions at that place and time. Yet because of the Moon age and set time, it will be extremely difficult to sight by naked eyes only including even is sighted with Optical aid it will be a great challenge. If sighted, Ramadan will start on Tuesday 13th April 2021, if not, Shaaban will continue its 30 days InShaAllah (If God wills), this is what I highly presume will happen according to the past reports and practical sightings.

Age of Moon: Waning Crescent : ~ 29.48 days old. = 707.52hrs old
Set Time difference : approx 15 minutes (Moon sets before the Sun)
From the calculations above, it is clearly Impossible to sight the crescent on this day for the following main reasons;
- The New Crescent is not born yet. Still in waning stage
- The Moon sets before the Sun
