These technical reports serve as preliminary guidance for the sighting. No final conclusions will be drawn until the Moon Crescent has been observed. Please refer to the official government announcement for confirmation.
**Depending on the start of Ramadan, if it begins on March 1st, it will last for 30 days. However, if it begins on March 2nd, the 29th of Ramadan will fall on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.

Set Time difference : ~30 minutes

According to the astronomical data report, the moon crescent will be visible in the sky after sunset. While it may be possible to sight the crescent with optical aids, visibility could be challenging depending on weather conditions. InSha’Allah (If God wills), if the crescent is sighted, Ramadan will begin on March 1st.

According to the astronomical data report, the crescent moon (Hilal) will be visible in the sky after sunset and should be observable with the naked eye in Oman and many other parts of the world. Therefore, if Ramadan begins on March 2nd, it is likely to last 29 days in Oman.

For some technical issues..This report is showing +1 hrs to the actual Sunrise/Transit/Sunset & same applicable to the Moon. Not sure what went wrong, but that was not checked by the time of posting this report. Anyway, I might go with previous way of writing the report, to prevent similar issue in the future.
Visibility Of Ramadan Crescent 1446 AH, For record: The observation took place in Muscat, beginning before sunset and continuing until moonset at 18:38 UTC+4. The weather was pleasant, with a temperature around 24°C and relative humidity at 54%. A light breeze from the northwest was blowing at approximately 3 km/h. The crescent moon was not visible, either to the naked eye or through a telescope. Additionally, the planet Venus was also not visible at the time of moonset (18:23 UTC+4) due to cloud cover on the western horizon. However, the moon crescent was observed by others in different location from Oman. Regardless, Ramadan Kareem!”
Visibility Of Shawwal Crescent 1446 AH, for record : Time of observation: After sunset. Not Seen: ICOP member Eng. Mundhir AlShibani from Muscat City in Wilayat Bosher State mentioned that the sky was clear, the atmospheric condition was clear, the crescent was not seen by naked eye, the crescent was not seen by binocular, the crescent was not sought by telescope, the crescent was not sought by CCD Imaging
