The Top 10 Languages Spoken In The World
The Top 10 Languages Spoken In The World….
10. French
Number Of Speakers: 129 Million
Often called the most romantic language in the world, French is spoken in tons of countries, including Belgium , Canada , Rwanda , Cameroon , and Haiti . Oh, and France too. We’re actually very lucky that French is so popular, because without it, we might have been stuck with Dutch Toast, Dutch Fries, and Dutch kissing (ew!).
To say "hello" in French, say "Bonjour" (bone-JOOR).
9. Malay-Indonesian
Number Of Speakers: 159 Million
Malay-Indonesian is spoken – surprise – in Malaysia and Indonesia . Actually, we kinda fudged the numbers on this one because there are many dialects of Malay, the most popular of which is Indonesian. But they’re all pretty much based on the same root language, which makes it the ninth most-spoken in the world.
Indonesia is a fascinating place; a nation made up of over 13,000 islands it is the sixth most populated country in the world. Malaysia borders on two of the larger parts of Indonesia (including the island of Borneo ), and is mostly known for its capital city of Kuala Lumpur .
To say "hello" in Indonesian, say "Selamat pagi" (se-LA-maht PA-gee).
8. Portuguese
Number Of Speakers: 191 Million
Think of Portuguese as the little language that could. In the 12th Century, Portugal won its independence from Spain and expanded all over the world with the help of its famous explorers like Vasco da Gama and Prince Henry the Navigator. (Good thing Henry became a navigator . . . could you imagine if a guy named "Prince Henry the Navigator" became a florist?) Because Portugal got in so early on the exploring game, the language established itself all over the world, especially in Brazil (where it’s the national language), Macau , Angola , Venezuela , and Mozambique .
To say "hello" in Portuguese, say "Bom dia" (bohn DEE-ah).
7. Bengali
Number Of Speakers: 211 Million
In Bangladesh , a country of 120+ million people, just about everybody speaks Bengali. And because Bangladesh is virtually surrounded by India (where the population is growing so fast, just breathing the air can get you pregnant), the number of Bengali speakers in the world is much higher than most people would expect.
To say "hello" in Bengali, say "Ei Je" (EYE-jay).
6. Arabic
Number Of Speakers: 246 Million
Arabic, one of the world’s oldest languages, is spoken in the Middle East, with speakers found in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. Furthermore, because Arabic is the language of the Koran, millions of Moslems in other countries speak Arabic as well. So many people have a working knowledge of Arabic, in fact, that in 1974 it was made the sixth official language of the United Nations.
To say "hello" in Arabic, say "Al salaam a’alaykum" (Ahl sah-LAHM ah ah-LAY-koom) .
5. Russian
Number Of Speakers: 277 Million
Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, and Yakov Smirnoff are among the millions of Russian speakers out there. Sure, we used to think of them as our Commie enemies. Now we think of them as our Commie friends. One of the six languages in the UN, Russian is spoken not only in the Mother Country, but also in Belarus , Kazakhstan , and the U.S. (to name just a few places).
To say "hello" in Russian, say "Zdravstvuite" (ZDRAST-vet- yah).
4. Spanish
Number Of Speakers: 392 Million
Aside from all of those kids who take it in high school, Spanish is spoken in just about every South American and Central American country, not to mention Spain , Cuba , and the U.S. There is a particular interest in Spanish in the U.S. , as many English words are borrowed from the language, including: tornado, bonanza, patio, quesadilla, enchilada, and taco grande supreme.
To say "hello" in Spanish, say "Hola" (OH-la).
3. Hindustani
Number Of Speakers: 497 Million
Hindustani is the primary language of India ‘s crowded population, and it encompasses a huge number of dialects (of which the most commonly spoken is Hindi). While many predict that the population of India will soon surpass that of China , the prominence of English in India prevents Hindustani from surpassing the most popular language in the world. If you’re interested in learning a little Hindi, there’s a very easy way: rent an Indian movie. The film industry in India is the most prolific in the world, making thousands of action/romance/ musicals every year.
To say "hello" in Hindustani, say "Namaste" (Nah-MAH-stay) .
2. English
Number Of Speakers: 508 Million
While English doesn’t have the most speakers, it is the official language of more countries than any other language. Its speakers hail from all around the world, including the U.S. , Australia , England , Zimbabwe , the Caribbean, Hong Kong , South Africa , and Canada . We’d tell you more about English, but you probably feel pretty comfortable with the language already. Let’s just move on to the most popular language in the world.
To say "hello" in English, say "What’s up, freak?" (watz-UP-freek) .
1. Mandarin [Chinese]
Number Of Speakers: 1 Billion+
Surprise, surprise, the most widely spoken language on the planet is based in the most populated country on the planet, China . Beating second-place English by a 2 to 1 ratio, but don’t let that lull you into thinking that Mandarin is easy to learn. Speaking Mandarin can be really tough, because each word can be pronounced in four ways (or "tones"), and a beginner will invariably have trouble distinguishing one tone from another. But if over a billion people could do it, so could you. Try saying hello!
To say "hello" in Mandarin, say "Ni hao" (Nee HaOW). ("Hao" is pronounced as one syllable, but the tone requires that you let your voice drop midway, and then raise it again at the end.)

RAMADAN KAREEM
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim year which follows a lunar calendar. Each month begins with a sighting of the moon’s crescent and lasts 29 or 30 days until a sighting of the next month’s crescent.
The month of Ramadan commemorates the days when the Angel Gabriel imparted the wisdom of the Koran, Islam’s holy book, to the Prophet Mohammed.
It is during this month that Muslims fast. It is called the Fast of Ramadan and lasts the entire month. According to Sharia, or Islamic law, all adult Muslims must fast during the holy month. Only the sick, pregnant and nursing women, and travelers are exempt. This makes the fasting a worldwide phenomenon observed by the devoted among the world’s one billion Muslims as one international community.
During the Fast of Ramadan strict restraints are placed on the daily lives. Muslims are not allowed to eat or drink during the daylight hours. Smoking and sexual relations are also forbidden during fasting. At the end of the day the fast is broken with a meal called the Iftar. The fasting person must abstain from lying, cheating, argumentation, fighting, foul language and every sort of evil. These are considered offensive at all times, but are most offensive during the Fast of Ramadan.
During Ramadan, Muslims continue with their prayers five times a day, but after the night prayer is performed, a special prayer called Taraweeh is performed. This is a voluntary prayer that consists of reading the Quran during the time of Ramadan. The length of this prayer is usually 2-3 times as long as the daily prayers. In many mosques the whole Quran is read during Taraweeh prayers over the month. In some mosques it is read several times.
When Ramadan arrives, everybody congratulates his neighbors and relatives. You can see the happiness all over.
People start to prepare for Sohour (a very late meal before sun raise). Mostly Sohour contains Foul (Fava Beans), cheese, yogurt and bread. After Sohour some people wait until they pray Fajar then they go to work or go to sleep.

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, " How do I know if I married the right person ?"
I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, " It
Depends. Is that your husband?"
Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it’s
Weighing on your mind.
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with
Your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked
Their idiosyncrasies.
Falling in love with your spouse wasn’t hard. In fact, it was a
Completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn’t have to DO anything. That’s why it’s called "falling" in love… Because it’s happening TO YOU.
People in love sometimes say, " I was swept of my feet." Think about the
Imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing
There; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.
Falling in love is easy. It’s a passive and spontaneous experience.
But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It’s the
Natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls
Become a bother ( if they come at all
The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you
Think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.
At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, " Did I marry
The right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of
The love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their
Unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfilment.
Extramarital fulfilment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is
The most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.
But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage.
It lies within it.
I’m not saying that you couldn’t fall in love with someone else. You
Could.
And TEMPORARILY you’d feel better. But you’d be in the same situation a few years later. Because ( listen carefully to this):
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT’S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It’ll NEVER just happen to you. You can’t "find " LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That’s why we have the __expression " the labor of love."
Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it
Takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.
Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it
Takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.
Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific
Things you can do ( with or without your spouse ) to succeed with your marriage.
Just as there are physical laws of the universe ( such as gravity),
There are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise
Program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your
Relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It’s a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable… You can " make" love.
Love in marriage is indeed a " decision"… Not just a feeling.

blue ray disc !
SONY’S DISK drive division is working hard to introduce Blue-Ray. It merged with NEC in April and will try to take as much market as possible. But despite the fact that some Blu-Ray consumer recorders are out and about, there won’t be any computer drives on the shelves before August. While Sony can’t say much about the pricing of such drives, it can say one thing: they will be expensive. Its Blu-ray drives will be able to read and write DVDs, CDs as well as Blu-Ray disks. In fact the disks are already available and they should cost between £70 and £106 for a single-layer 25GB disk and much

TURNING TORSO:
A view of the 190-metre-tall, 54-floor Turning Torso apartment tower in Malmo, Sweden, on Saturday. Offering a stupendous view over the Oresund Sound between Sweden and Denmark, the building turns 90 degrees around its own axis. Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava got the idea for the tower from observing the human body in motion.

hmmm sad story la
One night a guy & a girl were driving
home from the movies.
The boy sensed there was something wrong
because of the painful silence they shared
between them that night.
The girl then asked the boy to pull over
because she wanted to talk.
She told him that her feelings had changed
& that it was time to move on.
A silent tear slid down his cheek as
he slowly reached into his pocket & passed
her a folded note.
At that moment,
a drunk driver was speeding down that very
same street.
He swerved right into the drivers seat,
killing the boy.
Miraculously, the girl survived.
Remembering the note,
she pulled it out & read it.
"Without your love, I would die."

Managers vs. Engineers
Three Engineers and three Managers are going to a conference and had to travel
by train to get there. At the station, the three Managers bought their three
tickets and watched as the three Engineers bought only a single ticket. "How
are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asked a Manager. "Just
watch and you’ll see," answered an Engineer.

tickets and watched as the three Engineers bought only a single ticket. "How
are three people going to travel on only one ticket?" asked a Manager. "Just
watch and you’ll see," answered an Engineer.
They all board the train and the Managers took their seats and watched as all
three Engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them. The train
departed and shortly afterward, the conductor came around collecting tickets.
He knocked on the restroom door and said, "Ticket, please." The door opened
just a crack and a single arm emerged with a ticket in hand. The conductor took
it and moved on.
The Managers saw all this and agreed it is quite a clever idea. So after the
conference, the Managers decide to copy the Engineers on the return trip and
save some money (expense reports). When they got to the station, they bought a
single ticket for the return trip. But to their astonishment, the Engineers
didn’t buy a ticket at all.
"How are you going to travel without a single ticket?" asked one Manager.
"Just watch and you’ll see," answered an Engineer.
They board the train. The three Managers cram into a restroom compartment and
the three Engineers cram into an another one nearby.
The train departed. Shortly afterward, one of the Engineers left his restroom,
walked over to the Managers stall, knocked on the door and said, "Ticket,
please."

Peanuts
A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway
When he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady.
She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.
After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts.
She repeats this gesture about five more times.
When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks the little old lady, “why don’t you eat the peanuts yourself?".
"We can’t chew them because we’ve no teeth", she replied.
The puzzled driver asks,
"Why do you buy them then?"
The old lady replied,
"We just love the chocolate around them."
