Crescent Visibility  Report for Thul Hijjah 1445 AH (Thursday 6th June 2024) (29th of Dhu al-Qidah 1445) Oman date Based on settings*

 -OMAN Muscat, Long: 58:35:36.0, Lat: 23:36:48.0, Ele:21.0, Zone:4.00

The Sun and the Moon positions at west horizon, so close @18:00 UTC+4 Muscat, Oman.

The geocentric conjunction (Geocentric New Moon) (First light touch) will occur InShaAllah on (Thursday 6th June 2023) at 16:47 UTC+4 

Age of Moon: Waxing Crescent (Hilal) at sunset : ~ 0.06 days old. = 1.44 hrs

Set Time difference : ~9 minutes

Based on the Astronomical data report, the Moon crescent will be in the sky after sunset, however, its not possible to sight the crescent even using optical aid, because the age is so young at sunset time and both Altitude and Azimuth are less than 6° away from the Sun.

  1. Crescent Visibility Report for Thul Hijjah 1445 AH Results: As expected, I’m not able to sight the crescent. Also Oman Government has announced that no one has sighted, therefore 1st of Thul Hijjah will start on Saturday 8th June.
