Ramadan is the ninth month of Muslim calendar. Commemorates the month in which the Quran was revealed to Muhammed (Peace be upon him). Observance involves prayer and abstention from food,drink, smoking, and sex from sunrise to sunset. After sunset brings party time. (Iftar Time)

A very fine and happy Ramadan to you my friend…just padded back over from the link to the related post. This is a very important time for the large Muslim community here too and it has been good to see since my time in this currently far too hot part of the world, how well this time has been integrated into a much wider area of the local decidedly multicultural community 🙂 This allows a much greater understanding of Ramadan and what it means to Muslims and in turn promotes a good respect and a further meshing together of the many different cultures and beliefs that exist here, at the same time as educating. The link between Ramadan and the Crescent moon was very interesting too 🙂

Thanks 🙂 , yeah..Ramadan went well..and its almost over now…tomorrow is the last day. Today supposed to be Moon Crescent sighting..but it is not possible because the moon and sun almost sets at the same time.. 3 minutes difference only, with 3% of new moon..Which is impossible to sight. Therefore Ramadan will be 30 days..
