The geocentric conjunction (Geocentric New Moon) (First light touch) will occur InShaAllah on (Sunday 10th March 2024) at 13:09 UTC+4
Age of Moon: Waxing Crescent (Hilal) at sunset : ~ 0.22 days old. = 5.28 hrs
Set Time difference : ~10 minutes
Based on the Astronomical data report, the Moon crescent will be in the sky after sunset, however, its not possible to sight the crescent because the age is so young at sunset time and both Altitude and Azimuth are less than 6° away from the Sun. Therefore Shaban will continue its 30 days.

Age of Moon: Waxing Crescent (Hilal) at Sunset : ~ 0.83 days old. = 19.92 hrs
Set Time difference : ~50 minutes
Based on the Astronomical data report, the Moon crescent (Hilal) will be in the sky after sunset and could be seen by naked eyes in Oman. Therefore Ramdan will most likely be 29 days in Oman, if weather permits.

Crescent Visibility Result for Ramadan 1445 (29th of Shaban, Sunday 10th March 2024)
The observation took place in Muscat, observation started before Sunset until Moonset @ 18:23 UTC+4. Weather was pleasant around 25dC, with relative humidity at 78% after the very recent rains, Winds at around 4.4km/h. The crescent was not seen either by naked eyes or by didicated binoculars. In additional, the Planet Mercury was not seen either by naked eyes or by binoculars at the time of Moonset @18:23 UTC+4, however I was able to sight planet Jupiter clearly with naked eyes. Tuesday 9th April 2024)
The observation took place in Muscat, observation started before Sunset until Moonset @ 18:15 UTC+4. Weather was slightly pleasant around 32dC, with relative humidity at 21% with slight breeze at around 1.7km/h. The crescent was seen by telescope and photographed through iPhone’s camera.
