STS-135 Countdown Under Way

NASA ends its 30-year program: Space Transportation System – STS

The countdown for the final space shuttle launch is near end now.. Just less than 2 hrs. More than 1 Million people are near the ground of Kennedy Space Center waiting for this historical moment.

Atlantis will carry the Raffaello multipurpose logistics module to deliver supplies, logistics and spare parts including two  iPhone 4’s to the International Space Station.  See my previous post: Apple iPhone Gone to Space , Where I posted about STS-135.

  1. A historic day indeed! D-loaded the Press kit 🙂 Can’t follow you on Twitter…don’t use it, but will keep an eye on your blog page ones…and I hope the two i-phone 4’s enjoy the trip! Eyes to the skies Mundhir! It’s all happening there!! Go NASA!!!

  2. Got the NASA app for Android yesterday! NASA tv…the works 🙂 Yes, you’re quite right about the HTC WF S being slower… I sacrificed a little speed and extra memory for a smaller more pleasing (in my wolfish mind anyway!) little phone that combined quality, cool functionality and (again in my wolfish mind at least!) charming good looks! lol as well 😉 The others in the range are larger and feel like bricks when held to the ear!!!!! Discovered a whole range of astro apps before I flattened the battery looking lol so being new to Android apps I have much exploring to do…my own STS-135 mission!! ;0

  3. OOps 🙁 That last comment was intended for the previous blog…see what happens when I visit without logging in first?! Given that it wouldn’t let me log in from here as the page disappeared 🙂

At the moment while typing this comment..I’m watching Atlantis dock with the space station..iPhone 4’s just arrived today 🙂
Android OS is a good platform…maybe will be the leading platform for mobiles in near future..Will see as time will tell..NASA recently released their application for Android..hope you’re happy with the application.

You reminded me with my poor old Sony Ericsson mobile phone P990i.. It is a real brick phone… It was a great phone anyway..until I dropped it in the toilet water accidently…It still works but not all the functions.. 🙂
